This wonderful staircase, in a loft apartment of Riva del Garda, near Trento (Italy), is precious, shining and light: the most elegant presence in the house.
In the very first design the staircase was elsewhere, in the middle of the living room. However, thanks to Interbau’s experience and qualified advice, the final result was a staircase of surprising aesthetic impact, the protagonist of the whole space.
The extra clear quality glass staircase has steps fixed to the wall on one side and to a large plate glass on the other, with glass acting both as a carrying structure and as a railing.
The designing was a real challenge, in quest of the maximum level of beauty, aesthetic quality and lightness, even in a flat that was already finished and left little space to free architectural choices.
The glass, that consists of a single plate that acts as a banister, is heavy, though extremely delicate, and must be handled with great care. Especially in a place that left no room to possible mistakes during the setup of the structure, since the oak floor had already been laid down.
Interbau’s careful designing assured a perfect setup. The output is a masterpiece of functionality, stability, lightness and style.
