Interbau created this staircase for a terraced house.
The client commissioned a small structure linking the living area to an otherwise unused basement. Interbau built its lightest and most minimalist model, a one-beam staircase: the carrying structure is a square-section pole to which iron steps, coated by a thin layer of oak wood, were subsequently welded.
The tread is just 22mm thick.
The glass banisters touch neither the structure nor the steps and hang from the upper floor acting both as railings and balustrades of the intermediate floor. The staircase is coated with ral 9010 white powder-paint and the wood, just like the parquet, is whitewashed.
The setup of this elegant structure took no longer then five hours, having been reserved at our plants in Ora (Bolzano) and reassembled during the installation.
